I agree with you that the name of a remote machine should be set on the machine itself. If I really have misunderstood clientHostName and this does only affect the name on the local machine, it might be exactly what I need. In that case, maybe the name "clientHostName" is not very good, but should be "localHostName". This would also match better with "UNISONLOCALHOSTNAME" actually. Anyway, you are right. I should stop guessing and try to figure out what actually happens. When I find time next week, I'll do some experiments and then report back.
