Hi Cyrille, I am a total neophyte on programming and system questions but thanks to off-line help from Tõivo Leedjärv have been using Unison 2.53.4 with absolutely no problems for the past six months for back-ups to and from both Ubuntu (ntfs and ext4) and Windows 11 computers connected to a portable SSD. Previously I had quite a few problems backing up with Unison to a USB stick - not sure if they have anything to do with yours, never really resolved since for me it was easier (and more convenient in terms of storage and speed) to migrate to a portable SSD. Very best, John Rose Le 19/09/2024 à 14:38, Cyrille DEUSS a écrit : > > I use an USB stick in the middle to synchronize the following way : > many ntfs <--> my vfat <--> only one ext4. > > Sometimes Unison doesn't recognize that some files have changed > between mys USB stick and my ext4. > > Moreover, when copying from vfat to ntfs some files are copied with > hidden and/or archive attributes despite the "fat = true" line in my > prf.
