I wrote a script to test syncing under low memory. I expect to modify and force-push this, and thus it should not be considered stable. This is alpha quality, and you should read and understand it before you run it. So far, it does one sync, with -ignorearchives. My current belief is that unison uses very little additional memory on the local side when doing this. I was able to provoke some segfaults with really unreasonably low amounts of memory. It is likely that problems people have are operating differently, such as actually reading archive files. I'm posting about this here because in order to make progress on 'unison runs out of memory when I do X' we're going to need to be able to reproduce that and this is a framework where that could happen. But if you want to write your own script, don't let me stop you! https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://github.com/bcpierce00/unison/pull/1069__;!!IBzWLUs!W-encuBkpk_iJfKSkFnvR4MP9h1GovAR2Y579pqlVZLIjJzEUnITs50F7lA8ThRkwC19zACnSA8nceyoYA$ To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to [email protected].
