 I know using a davfs2 mount to a foreign server is the worst option, I=20
usually prefer local files, local servers or at least my own maintained=20
remote server where I could ssh into or run unison remotely...
But for now I also have a WebDAV account, maintained by others...

But shouldn't a directory list be true or failing or at least if partial I=

also have seen ????? on IO errors. But not a partial list that looks=20
complete just with less files than existing on the server.
I'm not sure how to debug that. Doing a manual ls on the missing file on=20
the davfs2 mount I can see the file, but that is seconds later after the=20
uplink was weak.
I guess the issue is on davfs2 side and I would like to report the issue=20
there, but can't reproduce outside of unison.

What does unison do to create the proposed plan before I run the (g)o? Does=
=20
it do ls on each directory? Does it run stat on each known file?
Then I could start debugging that, running a stat in a loop while having a=
=20
weak connection, or while switching wireless networks or VPNs.

I tried that, ran ls and stat on a remote file in a loop while switching=20
networks. The output was blocking, then resuming after a while but I've=20
never seen a
ls: cannot access
like it is returned for non-existing files.
