With stat I got some 0-zero files and getting errors:
stat: cannot statx '/mnt/davfs/hidrive/public/bigdir/*': No such file or=20
directory
 So somehow with stat it was not blocking and continously creating zero=20
sized files every second.
With ls it was creating one zero sized file and waiting for network to fill=
=20
that file, blocking the loop.
Does that sound reasonable?
