They are seemingly supposed to work like other options, and then again, there is special code for handling "include" and "source" also without "=3D". Don't know why that is the case. I believe the man page is still correct, it just does not mention this special case in the PROFILES section. Separately, note that there is also a user manual, which contains more information than the man page.
