It would surely require a natural person or a corporation to sign a contract with Apple. It is overwhelmingly likely that the contract has unreasonable terms. That's vastly beyond trivial. (Your comment didn't sound like "If license fees are the blocking issue, I'd be happy to have my company pay them." It came across as projecting a belief that the unison project was somehow obligated to do work because of Apple/Homebrew decisions.)
