Hi all,

I wanted to share a project that might be useful to Mac users on this list.

unison-ui-mac is a native macOS graphical user interface to Unison built 
with modern Mac development frameworks. It is a fresh-start 
re-implementation of Unison's existing Cocoa UI (src/uimac/), with a 
profile picker, a window showing what's about to change on each side, 
point-and-click direction overrides, etc.

The Unison engine (version 2.54.0) is bundled inside, so there's nothing 
else to install. It connects to any remote running Unison 2.52.0 or later 
(the post-2.52 wire-protocol generation). Requires macOS 15 or later, Apple 
Silicon Macs only.

Install: brew install --cask bcourbage/tap/unison-ui-mac

GPLv3, same as upstream.

Disclosure: the app was built with help from an LLM (Claude). That's why it 
lives as a separate project rather than being contributed back to upstream. 
Bug reports for the GUI go to its own repository, not the main Unison 
project.

Sincere thanks to the Unison contributors. This exists because I wanted to 
keep using a tool that's been rock-solid for me for many years. It's also 
my independent attempt to help with Mac coverage in response to the Unison 
team's noted challenges testing and maintaining the existing Mac GUI.
