I have been running Current snapshot 20021011 fine for some time. I've
finally gotten around to building a new server, and installing 1.4.2 on
it. The install went fine, but now I am getting this on all my 7.3 clients:
Error communicating with server. The message was:
SSL_connect error
and this on all my 8.0 clients:
There was an SSL error: [('SSL routines', 'SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE',
'certificate verify failed')]
Here is the apache error log entry:
[Sat Feb 1 00:03:13 2003] [error] mod_ssl: SSL handshake failed (server
woogie.
net:443, client 192.168.1.2) (OpenSSL library error follows)
[Sat Feb 1 00:03:13 2003] [error] OpenSSL:
error:14094418:lib(20):func(148):rea
son(1048)
I have double checked that the certificate on the client matches the
certificate on the server, and I know that the times are in sync, since
I get the error even if I run up2date on the current server. I even
tried recreating the certificate, even though there was no sign that
there was anything wrong with it since I can connect to the server fine
with mozilla or any other browser I try.
It sounds a lot like Christian's problem except my clients are all 7.3
or 8.0, and they all have the problem.
Anything else I need to check?
Thanks
Mike
