New snapshot available

Test this one carefully - I just snapshotted my devel tree, I didn't
actually make sure it ran correctly - :)

This includes the obsoletes db patch, the schema version checking, and
the start of cleaning up the logging.

Expect a 1.0.rc1 by the end of the week.
