For anyone who's interested, I've just installed and tested Current 0.99
in a small-ish way; it successfully registered both i386 and sparc
clients, successfully updated a single package, and successfully updated
a package with a not-yet-installed dependency.
For those of you curious, here's what I did:
First, simple registration of both clients
No problems.
Next, rpm -e python2-devel; rpm -e python2; up2date python2
Had to rebuild the database for the Aurora tree as I'd entered
an incorrect value for the "os_release", but after that there were no
problems. up2date successfully downloaded and installed the python2
package from the server for the appropriate architectures.
Next, rpm -e python2; up2date python2-devel
up2date successfully downlaoded and installed both the python2
and python2-devel RPMS from the server for the appropriate
architectures.
The server was running on a PIII 933, the clients were a PIII 933 (i386)
and an Ultra 10 (sparc).
