All, Current v0.9.3 is on the ftp/web site. There are 2 API call fixes and quite a few documentation updates. This version should not require a database create from 0.9.2. For once. Please look over the new/changed documentation and give me some feedback. Also included is a cron job for your clients that will run up2date every night. This is a temporary workaround until we have enough database support for rhnsd to work. PS. There's been some discussion of how to add obsoletes and conflicts to the solvedeps call in Current. These two are important for a complete replacement for RHN. Obsoletes appears to be fairly simple: store all the obsolete information, and anytime someone asks for foo, check and see if foo was obsoleted by anything. If it was, send back the new thing. Conflicts appears to be MUCH trickier - IE, I have no idea what to do. Suggestions? Is anyone out there familiar with how Yup or Red Carpet or Apt deal with conflicts? PPS. Freshmeat.net is having issues. There'll be an announcement there when they get back up. -- Hunter Matthews Unix / Network Administrator Office: BioScience 145/244 Duke Univ.
