New releases

After far too long, I've finally released two new versions of current.
Two you ask? Yes, two.

1.0.3
   Is stable, and simply contains a couple of small bug fixes to 1.0.2
   This should be a VERY safe upgrade (i hope), and if it breaks, please
   blame john. :)

1.1
   Is radioactive and causes undesirable behaviour in labratory rats. 
   John has done absolutely outstanding duty on up-porting Toby's sql
   patch, along with a lot of useless sniping from me. If you want to 
   try out sql with current, or wish to contribute (hint hint), here's
   where to go.

   Notice that other than storing the data in a new place, we don't 
   store any new data. This is on purpose - we're trying to get 
   everything stable with postgres, then we'll start taking full 
   advantage of its possibilities.

   Please post success/ failure notes to the list, and remember:
   DO NOT RUN THIS IN PRODUCTION.


Both releases are on the ftp site, the slightly expanded FAQ is on the
web page per user request, and the bk trees are still
bk://stenia.biology.duke.edu/current-1.0-stable and 
bk://stenia.biology.duke.edu/current-sql

Naturally, we always accept unified diffs as well as bk changesets.

In the works: 
   There'll be a small hiatus on the sql work while john and I look at
how much pain and suffering would be in switching to mod_python now,
instead of after the sql work is complete. Why the change in plans?
mod_python will allow us to scale out VERY well with the existing
anonymous only functionality, which many people have been asking for.

   I'm working on making the anon/shelve backend do proper updates, 
improving the cron job to be both quieter and less likely to have a
bunch of ntp'd systems hit the server all at once, and some other minor 
improvements.

Anyone out there interested in contributing?
