I was reading the RHN API doc in current 0.9.3, and noted that it is
primarily focused on up2date/rhn_register >= 2.5

I have looked at clients back to up2date 2.0 and all versions of
rhn_register.  Additionally, I have more info on the protocol version
2.  Are you accepting patches to this document?
