John and I have been using the standard mod_* and apache's that ship in
redhat 7.2/7.3

That _might_ work, but you'll have to rebuild mod_python and mod_ssl
against the newer apache.

You're welcome to do that (or even try current under python 2.2, which
is something else that needs to be done) but for now, we're going to try
to stick to whatever redhat ships.

Patching current 1.1 against 1.3 wouldn't be too hard (some renames and
a merge or three) but we want to get the apache/mod stuff very stable
and fast, then do the db work. We were trying to cut down the number of
variables.
