I just mis-understood them, perhap because I read them out of order or may be I am just in a bad day ( we are suffering in a heat wave right now) . testing.txt: I think the 4th paragraph about giving bogus values during rhn_register may give me the wrong idea. I thought I should give bogus values to send to RedHat becauseI am not going to use their service anyway and so I should not send out real info to redaht! Still, I will say that writing docs more explicitely would definitely help new users. THe file testing.txt perhaps could be renamed as "using-up2date-client" or something to that nature. And adding a sentence at the very begining, such as " Now you need to register your client machines to you new Current server by doing following ...;" will drive the idea home. Reading some past threads on this list, there are some tips on using openssl to test stunnel conections etc can be distilled into a troubleshooting/testing doc as well. Now I am going back to read more of past threads. Thanks for a great product ! Yiping
