Our docs are in a state of flux right now, as we fully transition to the
mod_python system. 

Even the postscript/html docs, which are better than the text
documentation, are a little out of date (and they are only 2 weeks old).

Ok, here's the short form for Current 1.3 right now.

Download and install Current rpm, apache, mod_ssl, and mod_python.
(The apache, mod_* pkgs from redhat work great).

Modify the config file /etc/current/current.conf to suite your site.
   Important points here are how your channel(s) are setup,
   and where you want the current_dir to be.

Run cadmin create_apache_config
    This will create the apache config snippet that relates to current 
    in /etc/httpd/conf/current.httpd.conf (typically). You still need 
    the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf that red hat shipped.

    The only editing you have to do yourself is to add the single line
Include /etc/httpd/conf/current.httpd.conf 
    to your /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf. (at the end is best).

Run cadmin create_certificate
    This will create the current.crt and current.key which should 
    install into apache, so that mod_ssl can use them.

    It will also create the CURRENT-CA-CERT which you will copy to all
    of your clients as /usr/share/rhn/RHNS-CA-CERT

    Watch out: The file names in 1.3.11 will match EXACTLY with what
    apache expects, due to popular demand.


Run cadmin create_channel $CHANNEL_NAME
    This will create the database and web tree for the server.
    Where $CHANNEL_NAME is the names of your channels from current.conf.
    You can get a list of these with cadmin print_channels

chmod ugo+rx $current_dir  
     where current_dir is whatever value you had in   
     /etc/current/current.conf

service httpd start

You're live.

There is a bug (a major one, I'm wearing a brown paper bag even as I
type this) in the latest snapshot. There will be a new release 1.3.11,
which I hope everyone will be willing to try tomorrow.
