A tree is all the dirs you feed to current for single channel.

A clean tree is one that does NOT have multiple versions of a single
package in it-

zsh-1.0-1.i386.rpm and zsh-1.0-1.i686.rpm

are the only two zsh packages in it.

That causes the delete code to never run, and 80% of all channel bugs to
never be hit.
