OK will slurp and try to patch as need be. I'll take a day tomorrow to get to grips with internals and try and get a packagable pre-alpha :) Things I want 1) Dealing with fscked up pseudo RH based distro's (Ensim, ISP of choice, etc) who can't manage to deal with the idea of complex environments. I may buy/rent/be forced to use: A x86 server with a base - probably old RH install without decent attempt to build packages, modify anaconda, etc. It just annoys me. Sometimes that leaves me with some really fsck'd servers between versions with a flaky glibc, with iptables in the kernel, no binary and with a leaky conn_track table. Grr!! Current is how I see I can bring order to that - we can't do that with shelves but I want to say... "fix all the updates from RH on this machine other than these ones I'm handcrafting as pkg's and ignore the completely brain dead ones from this vendor..." I can't do that atm :) Sorry ranting, as been in pub - :) Cheers for the heads up Hunter will download and try and test tomorrow... Paul
