Before that: 1.4.1, 1.4.0, 1.3.90, 1.0.5 (new->old order). If (a) a 1.4.x release with reliable delete code doesn't come out and (b) a 1.0.x release with reliable 2.8/3.0 support does, I would consider downgrading to 1.0.x. 1.4.x definitely performs better in my experience so that's not something I want to do, though. > How many servers do you have: 1 > How many clients do you have total: About 15-20 now... but this will grow. > Optional: > What versions and archs are your clients: Nearly all the clients are 7.3/i386. One client is 7.1/i386, and two are 6.2/i386. I expect to add waves of 6.2 and 7.1, i386 (and if it works, alpha) clients this year (if things take longer than I expect, those clients might be 7.2/alpha and 7.3/i386 by the time they're added). If everything isn't upgraded to 7.2/alpha and 7.3/i386 by the time more clients start rolling in, there will be at least one 7.0/alpha client (assuming alpha works as an up2date client for current) and maybe a couple of 7.0/i386 boxes too. There may be one or two 8.0/i386 clients soon, but I expect it will be some time until there are many 8.0/i386 clients. (At my site most people are taking a "let's wait for 8.1 and use 7.3 in the meantime" stance.) -Barry K. Nathan <[email protected]>
