Oh definitely.. I've been meaning to play around with that as well, but I 
really was just getting annoyed at having to run rhn_register every time I 
wanted an anonymous machine registered.  You can use the script I provided 
(just print out "id" and write it to the systemid file), or you can use the 
command line options that Hunter gave.
