SQL Backend Works

Hunter,

I just got the SQL backend actually running in server mode for the first
time.   I need to test and clean up some before I ship an actual patch to
you.  Probably should have a version that you can test by COB Friday.

I'm going to have the config file choose whether to use shelves or the new
sql backend.  Plus just a very few other minor changes to the current-0.9.4
code to get it to work.  That's a tribute to your nicely written code.

There are still plenty of loose ends in it.
