Re: error during cadmin update

Hunter:

I'm using a local mirror that someone else maintains for my repository. 
I NFS mount the disk, so I have no control or write access to the
repository.  

When I try to run cadmin update, I get the following error messages:

If I look in the directory, I see the file:

xinetd-2.3.7-4.7x.i386.rpm

Also, cadmin info reports:

(I don't know if that's relevant).

I don't understand the naming convention of .rpm files, but I infer from
Ingo's message that 2.3.7-4.7x is actually version 2.4.7.  I'm guessing
that there was previously a file called xinetd-2.3.9-0.73.i386.rpm which
has been deleted from the mirror.  cadmin apparently can't handle this
correctly.  I'm also guessing that Current needs to be able to forget
that the 2.3.9-0.73 version ever existed.  Is there a clean way to do
that?  I'm guessing (I seem to do a lot of that) that cadmin create
redhat-7.3-i386 would do it, but that seems a bit crude...
