Not sure I understand the question but the defacto port on the remote machine (server) that needs to be open is 5900 (5800 for HTTP). Set up and Exception for VNC, Port 5900 (or whatever port you want to have it set to actually just make sure it is set the same as the SNC server) and you should be set.
