Screen updates stop after Win2k server login

I have a strange problem.  I have just one Win2k Server (now updated 
with the last RC19 release) that is really strange.  I can connect just 
fine, but when the server is at a login screen. . .it stops updating the 
screen and seems to freeze at loading settings. . .

In actuality the server desktop is shown on the actual monitor.  If I 
disconnect and reconnect, then I am able to unlock the computer (locks 
on disconnection) and use the computer. . .but it is a pain to have to 
connect twice each time I want to connect to the server. . .

I am suspecting it has to do with the transition between using per 
server settings and per user settings.  I really wish I could have an 
install that didn't have user settings.

Any ideas for fixing this one. . .I can't get it to happen on any other 
machines (this server was upgraded from NT4)?
