clueless for sure

Hi all,

I am looking for *very* basic startup instructions.  I have seen the
FAQ, but somehow it seems tailored for people who already have a
clue.  ^_^

In case anyone wants to offer specific help, I am attempting to
control my daughter's machine, an XP Home box, from my machine, an XP
Pro box.  What I need to do is make sure her backups are run; she is
too scatterbrained to take care of it herself.

Unfortunately, I have yet to make a connection with this application.
