Hi David,

I had some real fun trying to figure this out, and apparently a boot
into safe mode (XP home on this server) fixes this problem -- oddly
-- without performing any other maintenance.  Just rebooting normally
out of safe mode apparently fixed things, and I think this must have
been a driver problem.  The cursor had frozen on the server, and when
I rebooted I was fine through the splash screen, but the cursor would
freeze again very quickly, before the GUI fully loaded.

Now, a couple of questions:

1) This has not reoccurred (yet), and I'm wondering if there is a way
to avoid that.

2) I have installed no driver package with this at all yet.  Should
I?

Only two machines are involved, XP Pro, which is used to control an
XP Home box.  Both are at SP-2 levels.
