Just tested connecting to my UltraVNC server RC20 (over LAN) using both 
latest Tight and Real viewers: no problem at all... both work just fine.

Maybe you are using the DSM plugin on the UltraVNC server ? But in this 
case you wouldn't have even a single piece of screen displayed in the 
viewer... strange.
Maybe the UltraVNC  server is too fast for the MAC client... :D   Ok, 
just joking.

Can you please send me your Server settings (without the password... )

I have to test under MAC but I don't have MAC OSx... looks like I have 
to study the MAC viewer source code. :(
