For feature requests and bug reports RC15 RC16. Please use the forum at http://forum.ultravnc.net/ I have written a VNC client which works well with the RealVNC and OSXvnc servers. The client is written according to the RFB specification from the RealVNC folks. This specification does not document a protocol version "003.006" as used by UltraVNC. It documents ""003.003", "003.007", and "003.008". After doing an apparently successful DES-based login (security result message is 0 and connection stays up), my client sends the desktop share option (1) and waits for the server initialization message. Data received during the server initialization stage looks like junk to me (framebuffer width & height are zero) so it appears that protocol synchronization has already been lost. The RealVNC client does manage to work with UltraVNC. Is there any specification for the protocol extensions defined by UltraVNC? What does the client initialization sequence look like for UltraVNC?
