RE: No UltraVNC icon in system tray

Marek,

Check "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\orl\winvnc3\default" and
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\orl\winvnc3\" for a registry key named
DisableTrayIcon.  

If it doesn't exist, create it (it's a DWORD) and set the value to 0.  

0 = don't hide it
1 = hide it

Also, as TechFan hinted, make sure that the service helper is listed in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

It's a REG_SZ that you can name anything you want as long as the value
reads:

"C:\Program Files\Orl\VNC\winvnc.exe" -servicehelper

Of course, substitute the path to winvnc.exe to wherever it is on your
computer.

I don't know what situations it should/should not show up in, but there
is a setting in the options to hide the icon on purpose.   If you are
running it as a service, there is a shortcut called service helper that will
run the icon manually. . .
