As far as I know, this xvnc process is a software only X11 server. It is 
not intended to be connected to any hardware hence I don not expect any 
hardware acceleration.

If you fancy X11 with vnc and hardware acceleration, start at the 
hardware-accelerated X11 server. As far as I know, most current X11 
hardware accelerated servers do come with an vnc-module. See the 
documentation of your X11 server and/or Linux distribution for details.

Be noted, hardware accelerated X11 servers are hooked to the hardware at 
the console of the server, they can never be accelerated by hardware at 
the desktop.
