That's about the same thing I do for my customers.  I put a D-Link 810+ 
in a plastic box that I get from Lowes.  Then run a 24" LMR cable to 
the antenna.  My total cost is $180.  The only problem I have is 
Lightening frying the ethernet port on the D-Link's.  Make sure you 
ground your antenna's.
