I'm not sure either and asked the same question a few weeks back with no
response, but I think I have found an alternative that is just as good.
I can buy an 802.11b AP AND a bridge for under $200 from Senao. These
use the same 200 mw cards referenced in the Soekris build. Throw in a
$35 Nema box for protection and you basically have the same thing
without having to buy the board. If anyone is interested, I can get as
many of these as needed. The bridge is POE or 12V but the AP takes
regular 12 V. I also have some very high performace slotted waveguide
antennas available (19 dBi 105 degree - other beamwidths available too).
I have these in 2.4, 5.3, and 5.8 GHz. The 5 gig antennas are 16 dBi 90
degree standard, but can be made in narrower beamwidths. The narrower BW
antennas have the added benefit of increased gain and better F-B ratios
as well. I garantee that you can't find antennas this good for what I
can get them for. If you can find a matching antenna, or even one that
is close for cheaper, please let me know. Email me for a spec sheet.
