if i were you I'd put the access points in the hallways every other
floor

just do the trig.. it's pretty easy
tan 60deg *80 ~= 150 (that's from memory so check it)
so you cover a horizontal area of about 300 feet at that distance.
sounds like you'd be better off with a 90 degree antenna in that setup -
also the 12 feet high means you'll be putting a fair amount of radiation
into the ground - i think inside is a much better bet.

remember that it's not important how much power your transmitter has if
the clients only have 30mw - gotta talk in both directions.
