It's not about me. I'm just echoing what many have said before.
When we see stories like
http://www.americasnetwork.com/americasnetwork/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=100462
we should be concerned that in the future the spectrum will be controlled by people
who are understandly more interested in making money by charging
a toll for the airwaves than in providing great service.
When we hear about bids to "buy" part of the spectrum for sums like $100,000,000+
what they're buying is control, the ability to a profit on what is in reality
a zero cost medium.
On the subject of power: If phone companies can set up 1500W base stations, why can't
we amateurs have, say, just 100W?
