Hello,

How does one measure wireless link quality in 802.11 ?

I am writing a small sniffer for Linksys WRT54GS series router which runs Linux.
One way I can do is by reading good old /proc/net/wireless file. In that also I am not sure what does the quality stand for. I mean in what unit is it measured in /proc/net/wireless file ?
Any comments will be appreciated.

Regards,
