And rumour has it that Illinios has literally made all wifi use illegal 
in the letter of the law, though the intent was likely something quite 
different. Something about it being a crime to use any device that can 
connect to networks without the owners' knowledge or consent. As far as 
I know, all wifi devices can do that. Here is California, at least.

Another case of "be careful what you wish for"?
