Thanks very much for this info. Now, one volunteer has this afternoon tried Ubuntu Linux with the cards... successfully! [Slashdot threads re: Ubuntu Linux http://makeashorterlink.com/?L37723D69 http://makeashorterlink.com/?J18722D69 ] He also tried Knoppix without success... I'm not sure yet what version. Another volunteers has loaded Red Hat on several of the computers but not yet had a chance to test the card. Will provide an update later along. - Steve Ronan David Young wrote: >On Fri, Oct 01, 2004 at 10:03:09AM -1000, Jim Thompson wrote: > > >>David Young wrote: >> >> >>>On Fri, Oct 01, 2004 at 12:06:44AM -0400, Stephen Ronan wrote: >>> >>> >>> >>>>The Cisco documentation for its relatively new a/b/g client cards >>>>(AIR-PI21AG-A-K9 and AIR-CB21AG-A-K9) reports only drivers available for >>>>Windows 2000 and XP: http://makeashorterlink.com/?F2F632B69 >>>> >>>> >>>This table alleges that the AIR-PI21AG-A-K9-10 is based on the Atheros >>>chipset, <http://www.networkinstruments.com/support/osup1002.html>. >>>So ath(4) (FreeBSD, NetBSD) and madwifi (Linux) drivers *should* work. >>> >>> >>Atheros claims it too: >> >>http://customerproducts.atheros.com/customerproducts/ResultsPageBasic.asp >> >> > >Cool.
