I've been looking into the WRT54AG made by Linksys though it's
mentioned in their product pages or on any store shelves(I've seen),
although it's available at ouptpost.com. This device is using the
Prism duette chipset which has source available unlike the Broadcom
radios found in the 54G & many other devices. I've grown to be a big
fan of the Prism radios especially in contrast to the Broadcom. I'm
curious as to why there's not much buzz or chatter on this Linksys
offering yet, although Linksys isn't doing anything to push them & I
suppose they're the ones who would want people to buy it(If I still
understand basic business concepts).
I think there are some some forks from the Sveasoft builds(Wolf's?)
that support it, but I'm wondering if anyone on the list owns one and
has done anything interesting with it. I'm doing some things in S.F.
at a loft with T-1 that would be real fun to use this device for... if
the potential that seems to be there can be utilized. crispin
