It appears to me, after searching the BAWUG archives, the only 
difference between the two is the chipset used.

As I'm new to wireless, except for the fact that one is perhaps more 
open source than the other - which is a good thing, how might these 
compare to other wireless routers on the market?

Is it too soon to jump into the tri-mode market?
