Thank you. I tend to think of them as being separate even tho' I 
know cisco acquired Linksys. Certainly they have a different code 
base so I would not lump them together.

The manuals I have read suggest that they only work with their own 
brand of equipment. OTOH, many of the manufacturers are starting to 
offer this capability so I suspect some level of similarity and 
possibly compatibility, hence my question to the list.
