As per my understanding - AP will be marked with QOS tagging. And that =
distinguishes normal packet from VoIP packet. You can see this under =
WildPacket Airopeek - packet Options once you capture data.

Let me know if you need more information. I can help you with this.

Hi,

I have few questions, can anyone explains please:

1, How the AP knows the coming packets from
Station/Device are VoIP packets?=20

-Would wireless or wired sniffer see this info? the
wireless may see the WMM? but would the wired sniffer
see it?=20

2,and once it determines and identifies the VoIP
packets, what does it do? forwards to destination
device and decode/encode?

Where can I learn more details on VoIP?

Thank you,

Tim
