RE: Disappointing range

what is the roof made of?
is there a metallic under lament below the shingles or whatever there is 
up there...
aluminum siding on the building?
at 2.4 ghz almost everything is a pretty good attenuator...very much so 
with metal...

there is nothing to "hide" the antenna by on the roof??  probably not.. 
that would be way to simple..
