Try:

./configure FreeBSD

Maybe Warner can confirm this, but haven't the necessary source mods to the
kernel and wicontrol been committed and are included in 4.6.2-RELEASE?

If it has problems with bat/common.h, you'll have to create
/usr/include/bat/common.h from bsd-airtools/source-mods/common/common.h.in. Then
edit line 38 to "#include <machine/if_wavelan_ieee.h>

Works great.
