GRASS will run on BSD (I run it on my OpenBSD laptop).
It is pretty difficult to get going with it. If you
want to geocode your SSIDs on a map - you can do this
with GRASS, but it will require a great deal of effort
if you are not already familiar with GIS. You will
also have to track down map data for your region of the
world, as well. If you are going to go ahead with
this, check out http://www.gisdatadepot.com first -
they have probably the most GIS data avaiable for free
download.

There are a lot of documents and some tutorials on
GRASS, but it would take a lot of time and effort just
to get a simple thematic of your SSIDs on a map or
raster image. If you are interested in GIS, go for it
- but if you aren't, it probably isn't worth the effort.
