I need to be more specific: What card would everyone recommond that works in
FreeBSD, any version. I'll take *any* card now, so long as it *just works*
in FreeBSD.

You must be using an OS other than FreeBSD. I just installed FreeBSD
4.6.2-RELEASE, and when I put a Netgear FA410 into the slot I get an error
that says:
pccardd[230]: No card in database for "NETGEAR MA401RA Wireless PC"("Card")

I also have a Linksys WPC11 v3 card (the box says it's Prism3), and it's
been the lesser of all evils, though it still doesn't work completely.
dstumbler will run fine for 10-15 minutes, but then the program locks up
when some error messages start appearing on the screen. Ctrl + C won't do
anything, I can't switch to another virtual terminal, etc. It seems to be
only dstumbler that does it, because I've left the computer sit with the
Linksys for an hour with no error messages coming up. Very frustrating.
The errors are below. I'm not finding much on Google, or this list. Anyone
have any ideas?

wi0: wi_cmd: busy bit won't clear
wi0: timeout in wi_seek to 0/0; last status 4000
wi0: xmit failed
wi0: watchdog timeout
