Garmin GPS

I noticed a few of you use Garmins and was wondering
if you could tell me why my garmin can't be seen with
GPSd in BSD or In windows with netstumbler, I have it
set to NMEA out, and on the garmin have it set to 4800
baud. Thanks in advance
