You should be able to take one of those cards and just upgrade the
firmware. Either way, the antennas and output power on them are kind of
low. If you need to cover multiple floors, etc you may want to look into a
card with an external antenna connection. For t i'd look at some of the
"high power" prism2 cards if you can spend a few extra bucks. Check out
the cards from demarc (www.demarctech.com) if you want an all around NICE
card (best recieve sensitivity on the market, and external antenna
connections via RP-MMCX connectors) or, for a few less $$ check out the
Engenius cards (available from justdeals.com, or search ebay for "engenius
802.11"). They also have external antennenna connections via MMCX
connectors. These cards aren't quite as sensitive as the demarc cards,
but depending on your situation that may not matter.
