How do I determine wep and what level of wep? What prism2 card is suggested?

Compaq M300 w/expansion base
OpenBSD 3.0
Linksys WPC11(v2.5) Wont assign itself to wi0 when booting - I'm new to
BSD. It detects the card when I insert it, but says device 0 is
unconfigured.
I also have an Orinoco Gold - installs fine (but has no RF monitor mode as
far as I can tell)

I'm able to load and use dstumbler.
My question...finaly:
How do I determine if wep is enabled and what level?
What is the "suggested" Prism2 card to use?
