hi there louis,

i had the same thing with a D-link DWL-650H card on freebsd 4.6. here was
my solution.

step 1 - bring the interface up:
 # ifconfig wi0 up
step 2 - put interface in monitor mode:
 # prism2ctl wi0 -m
step 3 - start dstumbler with the -o option (to specify a prism2 card in
monitor mode):
 # dstumbler wi0 -o -l /tmp/dstumbler.log

this should get it to start working. hope this works!

-c
